Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Nature of SEO Services

SEO is a knowledge-based professional consulting service. Once strategy development, research, auditing, or implementation work has commenced, the intellectual effort and time investment cannot be reversed. This is similar to retaining a lawyer or consultant — the professional service itself is consumed as it is delivered.

2. Refund Eligibility by Service Type

A. Monthly SEO Retainers

• Before Work Begins: If you cancel before any work has started in a billing cycle, we will issue a full refund of the current month's retainer fee within 7 business days.
• After Work Has Begun: No refund is available once strategy sessions, reporting, implementation, or outreach activities have commenced for that billing cycle.
• Cancellation Notice: A 30-day written notice is required. Work completed during the notice period is billable and non-refundable.

B. One-Time SEO Audits

• Audit fees are non-refundable once the audit has been delivered. The audit report represents the full deliverable.
• If we are unable to complete and deliver the audit within the agreed timeframe (due to our fault), a full refund will be issued.
• If the audit is delayed due to client failure to provide necessary access or information, no refund will be issued.

C. Project-Based SEO Work

• Initial Advance (50%): Non-refundable after project kick-off meeting and strategy document delivery, as this covers discovery and planning work.
• Completion Payment (50%): Due upon project completion. If you are unsatisfied with a specific deliverable, we will offer one round of revisions before the final payment is requested.
• If SEO With Rohit terminates the project without completion and without client fault, a pro-rated refund of work not yet delivered will be issued.

D. Strategy Consultation Calls

• Consultation fees are fully refundable if cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled call.
• No refund for no-shows or cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled time.

3. What We Do Not Refund

• Dissatisfaction with search engine ranking results (search engines are controlled by Google, not by us)
• Work completed and delivered as per the agreed scope
• Delays caused by client inaction, failure to provide access, or failure to implement recommendations
• Services consumed during any portion of a billing period
• Cases where the client provided misleading information about their website or business

4. How to Request a Refund

To initiate a refund request:

1. Email rohit@seowithrohit.com with the subject line: "Refund Request — [Your Name / Project]"
2. Describe the reason for the refund request and the service involved
3. We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days
4. Eligible refunds are processed within 7–10 business days via the original payment method

5. Dispute Resolution

We always aim to resolve disputes amicably. If you are dissatisfied with any deliverable, please contact us first — we will genuinely listen and work to find a fair resolution. If we cannot resolve the issue directly, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing formal legal proceedings.

6. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated periodically. Any changes will apply to new engagements entered into after the update date. Existing clients on active contracts will be governed by the policy in effect at the time of their contract execution.
